KPY: Katie said she LOVED deep dish pizza. For dessert, she wanted their deep dish fudge sundae, but i said no, we had to walk first
KPY: After the pizza we walked all the way to Navy Pier, in the dark! looking for ice cream. Nothing was opened, so we took a taxi to the old Hilton, which was very near our hotel. Luckily they had deep dish fudge sundaes. So cute in a little skillet.
KPY: Katie read that you have more chance of choking on a toothpick than of being eaten by a shark
KPY: We found this cool interactive display at the Tribune building. If you imput your email, they'll send you the photo........
KPY: The Wesley children were in the same school as Kay and Jen....back in Silverlake. He was working at Children's Hospital at the time.
KPY: I had a delicious hamburger, grilled INSIDE on a Weber Grill with REAL charcoal briquettes. The waitress assured me they have triple venting.
KPY: Dinosaur Sue is the most complete skeleton found in the U.S.
KPY: What a hoot! This guy was a crack up. I won the book, which I gave to Katie. We learned all about Al Capone and saw where he lived, etc.
KPY: We made a special stop on our taxi ride back to the airport, just so Katie could see one of the great old baseball stadiums.
KPY: Its nicknamed the `bean' and is very popular. we saw all kinds of people waiting to take their reflected picture. It's very cool
KPY: American canceled our mid-day flight and arbitrarily put us on the 6:30 flight. So Katie and I made up a detective hunt and went off to find things like: wheel chairs, passenger dogs, twins, etc.
